TIP: REMEMBER THIS 1 THING WHEN YOU ARE SETTING GOALS

By February 10, 2017 Blog

Without setting the proper goals, you can actually set yourself up for failure. As you come up with your new goals or as you look through goals you have already set, remember this: Goals need to be measurable, have an end date and be within YOUR control. Some examples of good goals:

  • Throw 90 MPH by October 1
  • Play Long Toss 3 days per week minimum
  • Take 1,000 swings per week, hitting at least 5 days per week
  • Add 15 pounds of good weight in 6 months
  • Track all of my food intake
  • Hit the ball hard in 80% of my at-bats

Some examples of bad goals:

  • Hit .400 during Spring season
  • Gain weight
  • Throw harder
  • Have a fielding percentage of  .950

Setting goals is the first step in having success. Without well-defined goals, you have no end point you are working towards.
