As a CageRat, you'll be working with highly trained and qualified former college baseball players. Their knowledge and ability to connect with players is second to none.

Tad Reida

Tad is baseball through and through. Since five years old, Reida has made the diamond his home. Playing on successful teams throughout middle and high school before joining two of the country’s top summer travel teams: Indiana Bulls (2002) and the Midland Redskins (2003). A talented infielder, Reida was drafted out of high school by the Philadelphia Phillies, but chose to continue his career at the collegiate level with the Wichita State Shockers (2003-2006), reaching the NCAA tournament every year. Following his playing career being cut short due to injury, Reida began his coaching career with the Indiana Bulls. In 2008 his coaching success continued as an assistant coach for the WVU Mountaineers and then the United States Air Force Academy. Having coached many players who have gone on to play professionally, Reida founded CageRat Baseball in 2010 with the hopes of helping youth baseball players reach their maximum potential. Since its inception, Reida has helped over 200 players find colleges to play for, including over 30 at the D1 level.

Justin Klipp

Director of Pitching Development

Justin Klipp is a two-time College World Series pitcher with Cal State Fullerton and former professional pitcher with the Chicago White Sox organization. He led his college team in ERA his senior year with a 2.15, while pitching the second half of the season with a fractured shin. Klipp was drafted twice, once in 2004 by the Rangers in the 29th round and signed with the White Sox after being drafted in the 22nd round in 2007. Justin moved to Austin, Texas in 2009 to continue his coaching career that originally started in 2006 during off-seasons in college. He has coached thousands of players of various ages and skill levels in the Southern California and Austin areas. He is an expert at video analysis and was one of the top pitching coaches in the state of Texas. Justin owns a top training facility in the central Texas area (TexElite Sports) and his select program (Adidas Titans) continues to grow and thrive. Coach Klipp is a lifelong student of baseball and is dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest training tools and strategies due to the ever-changing nature of the game. He utilizes plyocare balls to help safely increase arm strength and improve arm movement patterns, as well as the Core Velocity Belt (used by 25 MLB organizations) to fix bio-mechanical issues and increase velocity. The CVB teaches and strengthens players abilities to use their hips and core, which ultimately creates more power and consistency with the entire body putting less stress on the arm. Justin and his family recently moved to Colorado Springs and he has decided to continue focusing on his passion of coaching. Coach Klipp and the Farm have teamed up to create a high-level pitching lab in Colorado Springs. The lab utilizes some of the following training tools: Plyocare balls, the Core Velocity Belt, ProPlay AI, and Rapsodo.
