When you watch your favorite baseball player, what makes him so special?
Is it how he plays? Is it how he hits? Defense?
Why is he your favorite player?
I can remember looking back at certain players I grew up watching and trying to emulate them.
The best way to improve as a baseball player is to constantly watch how talented players do things and then try to copy them.
I am not just talking about their stance or how they pitch or anything physical.
I am also talking about their work ethic, how they treat their teammates, how they treat their fans, etc.
Those players obviously do something that inspires you!
Do you do anything that inspires other people around you?
Baseball, for every single player, will end at some point. However, what you learn in baseball, the people you meet and the relationships you make will be what you remember forever.
I really want you to make a huge effort to become a great person.
Be a leader.
Help out others.
Be good to your younger teammates. They look up to you and as they get older they will treat their younger teammates however you treated them!
Most importantly, be the kind of person that EVERYONE else wants to not only be around but also be like.
The biggest compliment someone can ever give you is to respect you and want to be like you.
Give someone a reason to want to be like you!
I want to know (both players and parents can answer!) who inspires you. Who makes you want to wake up in the morning and become the best PERSON you can be! Is it a baseball player? Is it a parent? Older brother or teammates? WHY do they inspire you?
Then, let me know how you have been inspiring to someone else. If you ever made it to the Major Leagues, why would you be a good role model?
Let me know in the comment section below.
As always, let me know if you need anything. I want to make sure you have everything you need to become the best you can be!
