By January 18, 2019 Uncategorized

Wyatt Cross was a member of CageRat Baseball in 2012-2014. Wyatt was a member of one of the most successful teams CageRat Baseball has produced. In 2013, Wyatt was one of 13 CageRat athletes who went on to sign D1 baseball offers.

During Wyatt’s time with CageRat Baseball, he proved to be one of the top catchers in the country. His pop time was recorded as low as 1.76. Perfect Game had Wyatt rated as the #66 overall prospect in the class of 2015 and one of the top 3 catchers nationally.

During his senior year of high school, Wyatt was named a Perfect Game Aflac All-American, which is one of the top honors in the country, as well as an Under Armour All-American. Wyatt signed his National Letter of Intent in November of 2014 with the University of North Carolina. The culmination of Wyatt’s storied high school career ended with him being drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 2015.

After battling injuries at North Carolina, Wyatt transferred to San Jacinto Junior College for a year and then settled at Indiana University as a Hoosier where he established himself as a clubhouse leader.

Wyatt drove in the game-winning run in the 2018 Big Ten Tournament game that kept the Hoosiers alive. You can check out his walk-off hit here.
