Andrew Bladt (A.B.) was a member of CageRat Baseball from 2010-2014.
His work ethic helped him develop from a freshman who threw 72 mph, had an exit velocity of 73, and ran a 8.4 60 to a senior who threw 96 mph across the diamond, an exit velocity of 94 mph, and ran a 6.7 60.
This improvement turned A.B. into one of the premier shortstops in the Rocky Mountain region who signed a D1 scholarship with Marshall University.
A.B. had a great senior season at Longmont High School where he set a Longmont record with 35 RBIs. During his 2014 campaign, he hit four home runs, seven doubles, two triples and had a .429 batting average. A grand slam against rival Niwot in a season-saving state tournament game was among his biggest contributions.
During his career, Andrew Bladt was named the Longmont area Player of the Year and was named All-State. He was also a two-time member of the All-Conference team.
Andrew Bladt was a member of the original 2010 CageRat team that produced 13 D1 players.
